Iran’s cultural week opened on December 20 in Morocco in a ceremony attended by the head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mehdi Mostafavi.
Mostafavi is in the country at the invitation of Moroccan Culture Minister Touriya Jabrane, IRNA said.
Addressing the ceremony, Jabrane commended Iran’s ancient civilization and culture. She further noted that Iran’s cultural week is a chance for getting to know a civilization which has influenced many civilizations in the course of history.
“Promoting bilateral ties will pave the way for solving major regional problems such as the issue of Palestine,“ Jabrane said.
Programs for the week includes holding exhibitions of Iranian artworks and handicrafts, film screening and traditional music performance.
